Lcp 9mm Review - Ruger LCP .380 ACP and Ruger LC9 9mm semi-automatic pistols. streamlined, lightweight sub-compact "pocket" concealed carry pistols (CCW)

Photographs were taken with a Canon PowerShot S90 10 megapixel digital camera (still camera with video capability). Studio photos of LCP-LM and LC9-LM pistols are courtesy of Sturm, Ruger & Co. November 14, 2011 At various industry shows, including SHOT Show and the NDIA Infantry Small Arms Systems Symposium 2011, (DR) encountered the Ruger LCP. .380 ACP and Ruger LC9 9mm (9mm Parabellum/9x19mm NATO) streamlined, lightweight subcompact semi-automatic pistols, both specifically designed for concealed carry (CCW). DR has worked with both guns, but we haven't had a chance to use them on the range yet, which we'd like to do. The LCP pistol in particular seems to be a very popular pocket pistol/backup pistol with LEOs (law enforcement officers) and civilian CCWs. It has a 6+1 ammo capacity and can be used with the LaserMax Centerfire laser (model LCP-LM). There is also an NRA version of the LCP with a Natural Gear Camo (Camouflage) frame (Gripframe). It should probably be noted that in 2009 In May, based on a small number of field reports indicating that LCPs with the prefix "370" (serial number 370-xxxxx) could potentially discharge if dropped on a hard surface, a round may have been fired. in the palace. These early LCP pistols were retrofitted for their owners with an improved hammer mechanism and were marked with a diamond on the bore flat behind and below the hammer. All LCP pistols with the prefix "371" or higher already had the improved hammer mechanism and were not affected. The Ruger LCP pistol competes in the commercial market against the Kel-Tec P3-AT and Smith & Wesson (S&W) Bodyguard 380 .380 pocket pistols. It would be interesting to see how all three guns are placed side by side at range. Click here to read GunBlast's long-range test of the Ruger LCP .380 ACP light pistol and how it compares to the Kel-Tec P3-AT .380. If you're coming from a "no less than 9mm" mentality and the LCP just isn't enough of a weapon for you, then the Ruger LC9 might just be for you. It is slightly larger and almost twice as heavy as the LCP, but also more powerful. and stronger and carries another round (7+1). Assuming the LC9 is reliable, accurate, durable, and has a good trigger, it should make a nice concealable pistol, but we don't know if it's a pocket pistol like the LCP. The LC9 is probably more of a concealed carry pistol. Ruger LCP Pistol Specifications: Caliber: .380 Auto Capacity: 6+1 Weight: 9.40 oz. (Standard), 9.90 oz. If you know you're going to a gunfight, bring a gun. However, for everyday concealed carry, we all make compromises by carrying a weapon small enough to be concealed without being too heavy or too uncomfortable. For me this is usually a micro compact 9mm IWB, but as of last week I have the new Ruger LCP MAX in my front pocket and I love it.

Don't miss the video of Rumble performing above LCP MAX on the track. Or click here to watch it live on the Rumble.

We all know the Ruger LCP, right? It's been the .380 ACP concealed carry handle for over a decade, and there's no shortage of TTAG items centered around it. 2010 Our original review of May's LCP can be found HERE , and our review of the improved and updated LCP II can be found HERE .

Taurus Gx4™ Black 9mm Luger Micro Compact 10 Rounds

Ruger's new LCP MAX takes the LCP II and turns it up to 11. Literally. This bad boy now holds 11 rounds (10+1) in its flush-fit magazine instead of the 7-round (6+1) capacity of the LCP II (and LCP). While this is certainly not the only change, the 'MAX' power is clearly the most notable.

As if that wasn't enough, the LCP MAX has an available 12-round magazine for a 12+1 load (some claim it's up to 13). Despite the two extra .380 rounds, the extended magazine adds less than half an inch to the rear of the magazine. Direct comparison photos between the LCP II and the LCP MAX can be found below after this review is complete.

It adds a little over half an inch to the front strap, which gave me and my men's size L hands enough room for about 3/4 of my pinky to officially be on the front of the handle. Payed a small penalty for two extra rounds of ammo and an extra finger on the gun.

In fact, the LCP MAX comes with a small extended seat for a 10-round pistol in the box, but you'd have to suffer from the President's cognitive impairment to use it on a 12-round magazine, which it doesn't. no bigger.

The LCP MAX uses the same "brittle" or light sandpaper texture as the LCP II, similarly arranged with plate-like sections around the handle frame. It's enough to fit the tissue securely, but it won't tear the inside of your bag or the Velcro inside. It also won't crush your delicate love handles.

Compared to the LCP II, the LCP MAX is rounder and smoother; less blocked, thinner. It's more ergonomic and comfortable to hold than the previous generation, and I think it looks nicer.

Despite switching to a double-stack magazine and increasing magazine capacity from 6 to 10, the MAX adds just 0.4 inches to the LCP II's height and just 0.06 inches to its width. length
